During pipeline system commissioning and temperature ramp-up, pressure fluctuations may occur. These pressure changes can cause the medium to surge, resulting in repeated lifting and lowering of the packing box under the influence of media force. If thermal tightening is not performed in time, a gap can easily form between the packing box and valve body at the self-sealing ring area. Once the medium enters this gap, it continuously erodes the self-sealing ring, causing abnormal wear. As the gap widens, the packing box continues to lift, eventually leading to failure of the self-sealing ring and medium leakage. Additionally, the packing box suspension bolts are often found to be significantly loosened.
