Low Emission Seals
Low emission seals are important parts in the oil and gas industry, designed to reduce harmful leaks and meet strict environmental rules. These seals, which include gaskets and packing materials, help ensure that equipment follows standards like API 622, ISO 15848-1, TA-LUFT, API 624, and API 641, which are set to control emissions from valves and other equipment.
Low emission gaskets are often spiral wound and have a thicker sealing element than regular gaskets. This added thickness, controlled carefully for a perfect fit, helps create a stronger seal that stops leaks and improves overall performance.
Low emission packing is made from high-quality materials such as expanded graphite fibers, with added strength from Inconel. These materials are resistant to high heat and corrosion, while keeping friction and leakage rates low, even in tough conditions. Certified to meet standards like API 622 and ISO 15848-1, these seals are trusted for their ability to reduce emissions and improve environmental performance.
